Milano - San Remo Donne 2026: Kopecky wins five-up sprint
fotobureau Cor VosPuck Pieterse launches an attack in the final kilometre of the Poggio, with Lotte Kopecky, Dominika Włodarczyk, Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini and Noemi Rüegg glued to her wheel. The five keep the chasing peloton at bay and Kopecky then sprints to victory ahead of Rüegg and Gasparrini finishing second and third.

Race report
It takes around an hour for a breakaway to form. Eleonora Le Bella, Constance Valentin, Sofia Arici, Katia Ragusa, Lara Crestanello, Heidi Franz, Eleonoa Deotto, Sara Luccon and Bodine Vollering open up a lead of 4 minutes.
The break is down to Vollering, Franz and Sofia Arici after the three capi and they are caught in the run-up to the Cipressa.
On the climb, Femke de Vries is the first to attack, prompting several other riders to try to break away. When Kasia Niewiadoma takes over at the front, it comes at the expense of Lorena Wiebes and Lotte Kopecky. They later rejoin, and then the 2024 Tour winner launches another attack.
When the group comes back together, Lieke Nooijen attacks with 1 kilometre to the top. She crests with a lead of 30 seconds, after which several riders, including Kasia Niewiadoma and Kim Le Court Pienaar, crash on the descent.
Nooijen's attack comes to an end early on the Poggio, as Nikola Nosková takes over the attack. In the final kilometre to the top, Puck Pieterse overtakes her with Lotte Kopecky, Dominika Włodarczyk, Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini and Noemi Rüegg on her wheel.
The five reach San Remo 8 seconds ahead of the chasing group. That is enough to decide it between them. Puck Pieterse launches the sprint, immediately followed by Lotte Kopecky. The three-time Tour of Flanders winner powers to her biggest victory of the young season. Noemi Rüegg finishes in her wheel, while Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini rounds out the podium.
